Matcha isn’t like any tea you’ve known before. It’s not leaves you steep. It’s ground leaves you
drink. Grown on green tea bushes kept under shade, the result is an increase in chlorophyll content. That’s what makes the beverage so bright and green (and full of nutrients). We recommend
our matcha both hot and iced. And, feel free to use it in your morning smoothie, or sprinkled on a salad or grain.
Unofficially, matcha is believed to help in prevention of heart disease, diabetes and cancer. But not enough studies have been done to confirm these attributes. In the meantime, it tastes delicious and is just the thing to pick you up during these hot summer days.
If you visit our café in Hudson, try the Iced Matcha Latte. It’s really, really good.
